WOMAD is a wonderful festival of World music and arts, though many go there just for the food and shopping!

It is more relaxed than Glastonbury and excellent for families too. Over 24,000 people of all ages attend the UK Womad festival, held in Reading. It's normally over the last weekend in July. In 2006 it runs from Friday 28th to Sunday 30st July.

It's already a very veggie friendly event, and lots of people open their minds there to vegetarianism and veganism. This makes the event an ideal opportunity to support that interest with good information, to capitalise on it with petition signing, donations and the sale of refreshments and merchandise, to benefit veggie charities and the World.
